Keep your eye out...

For Lost season 4 promos on the big screen. According to buddytv.com, new footage from the upcoming season will be shown in movie theaters nationwide beginning in December. Season 4 is supposed to start airing in Feb. 2008, let's keep our fingers crossed the writers' strike will be over by then. If anyone happens to catch one of the promos, let us know what you think!

well I saw the promo before The Golden Compass and was a bit disappointed, really didn't show anything. I heard there was an extended promo before the ball hit 2008 on ABC but I missed it, did anyone else see it??

I didn't see that promo, but I did see one last night during Desperate Housewives that set the return date as Thursday Jan 31st.

Yes I did see the premiere will be on Thursday, Jan. 31, and also that it will be 2 hours. I know they're premiering a new show after that, so I'm guessing it starts at 8pm but I'm not sure...

I have seen the ads come on, but I have learned long ago from ALIAS that I dislike knowing anything about an episode before I have seen it. So, I just turn the sound off or talk over it and turn my face away from the screen.

I eschew and protest spoilers. Folks, don't ruin the expereince before you have it. See all you can that they give you to fill in the information (usually just a distracting slight of hand), but ruining the surprise by knowing what is going to happen does nothing for one's appreciation of the show.

I mean really, how interesting is a mystery novel the second time through? It might be good, but not as good as the first time.

Boycot spoilers!

I'm all about no spoilers robetron, I would have been pretty mad if the end of season 3 had been ruined for me at all. I LOVE it when a show can shock and surprise me. Any promos I've seen for Lost this year have either shown scenes from last season, or clips way too fast for me to know what they are, so hopefully the non-spoilerish promos will continue.

Just revisiting season three...

Remember the episode, "The Man From Tallahassee?"

When John Lock is sitting in his apartment (during a flashback), he is watching TV. What you hear on the TV is an episode of "Expose'," the fake-TV show where Niki guest-stared in the flashback beginning of the episode "Expose'." How cool is that? It reminds me of when Sydney Bristow (of Alias, for the crazy people who don't know) had music playing during a party, and the song just before Syd and Jack start talking is "You All Everybody," by "Driveshaft," the band Charley from Lost started. It's so twisted that its difficult to describe what is happening.

Way fun.

Also cool. The episode when they show Desmond as a monk. When Des is talking to the head monk they show a picture on his desk of him and the woman who Desmond tries to buy the engagement ring from, but instead she tells him he won't go through with it! I love stuff like that :)

I was rewatching season 3 and in The Man Behind The Curtain we actually did see Jacob in his rocking chair. I don't know if there had been any debate or discussion about this but it was a big deal for me to actually see him. Sorry I don't know how to get freeze frames.

Katie - I found the screenshot of the scene you're talking about, you can view it at http://gallery.lost-media.com/

We never did discuss that extremely strange episode on this blog, what are your thoughts?? Who is Jacob, why is he invisible, and didn't he ask Locke to help him??

Anonymous said...

He sure did ask John to help him.

It would make sense to me if 'Jacob' is just the way the island's forces manifest for Ben. For Locke they have manifested differently. If that's the case, the black smoke could be 'Jacob' as well, and the sonar fence that the others have around their camp, could be used to keep Jacob out. It strikes me now that Ben didn't really start to heal so well until they left those barracks, and I imagine the protection of that fence.

The plea Jacob made to Locke could have something to do with being powerless (if I'm right about the fence and all) against the others, specifically Ben.

I don't know, but it seems ilke Ben must have come across away to bind Jacob or else why would Jacob need Ben?

that's an interesting theory about the fence around their compound. That might also have something to do with why the guy who found Ben in the forest as a boy is still around (now w/ short hair) and hasn't aged at all. But then why would Ben age? Sooo many questions...

Hmmm... Two nights, and no update after the season premier has aired.

If you want faithful visitors and conversationalists, you have to update the website.

Say, I just watched the new episode online. I thought it was supposed to be a two hour event? What happened? Am I still missing something, and are the ads online misleading?

Anyone out there?

HELLOOOO!
*helloooo!*
ECHO!
*echo!*

The "2-hour Lost Premier Event" was in fact not a 2 hour episode. It was an hour long re-cap of relevant events up to the season 4 premier epi, which was the usual length. You're not missing anything, as the recap was pretty useless. Although, Michael Emerson narrated it, which made for an interesting difference.
